# Maska End-User License Agreement

This agreement is between you and the developer of Maska ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Maska
you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

## 1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Maska
on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media
Services Terms and Conditions. The app is licensed, not sold, to you.

## 2. Restrictions

You may not:

- copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the app;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the app, except to
  the extent that applicable law expressly permits it;
- remove or alter any proprietary notices in the app; or
- use the app in any way that violates applicable law.

## 3. Your images

You keep all rights to the screenshots and photos you redact with Maska, and you are responsible for
having the rights to edit and share them. Your images are processed on your device and are never sent

## 4. Check before you share

Maska finds private information automatically, but no detection is complete. It can miss text it
cannot read, formats it does not know, information that only context makes private, and faces or
objects it does not recognize, and it can mask things that are not private. Review every image before
you share it, and add your own masks wherever something private is left visible.

You are responsible for what you share. We are not responsible for private information that remains
visible in an image you save, copy or share with Maska, or for any consequence of sharing it.

Edit Original and Save and Delete Original change or delete the photo in your library. Photos keeps
the original of an edit so you can revert it, and a deleted photo stays in Recently Deleted for a
time, as iOS provides.

## 5. Intellectual property

Maska, including its design, code, and name, is owned by us and protected by copyright and other laws.
This agreement gives you no ownership of the app. We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating,
defending, settling, and discharging any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual
property rights.

## 6. Maintenance and support

We, not Apple, are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support for Maska. Apple has no
obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app. You can reach us at

a specific response time or that any issue will be fixed.

## 7. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Maska is provided "as is" and "as available",
without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for
a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, or that
it will find and mask all private information in an image.

If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the
purchase price for the app to you, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has
no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities,
damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.

## 8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental,
special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, photos, privacy, profits, or
goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of Maska. Our total liability for all claims relating
to the app will not exceed the amount you paid for the app, if any. Some jurisdictions do not allow
these limitations, so they may not apply to you.

## 9. Product claims

We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app
or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to
conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or
similar legislation.

## 10. Legal compliance

You represent that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or
that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are
not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

## 11. Third-party terms

You must comply with any applicable third-party terms, such as your wireless data service agreement,
when using Maska.

## 12. Apple as third-party beneficiary

You and we acknowledge that this agreement is between you and us only, not with Apple, and that we, not
Apple, are solely responsible for Maska and its content. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party
beneficiaries of this agreement, and upon your acceptance of it, Apple has the right, and is deemed to
have accepted the right, to enforce this agreement against you as a third-party beneficiary.

## 13. Termination

This license is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you fail to comply with any
of its terms. You may terminate it at any time by deleting the app. On termination you must stop using
the app and remove all copies from your devices.

## 14. Changes

We may update this agreement from time to time. The current version is always available at this
address, with the date of the last change at the top. Continued use of Maska after a change means you
accept the updated terms.
