# Maska

> Redact screenshots and photos before you share them.

- Runs on: iPhone and iPad, iOS 18 or later
- App Store: coming soon
- TestFlight beta: https://testflight.apple.com/join/RRRKPv1p
- Web page: https://shisheng.dev/maska

## About

Maska finds the private details in your screenshots and photos and masks them before you share.
Everything happens on your iPhone or iPad: text recognition and detection run on the device, and
nothing is uploaded.

Open a screenshot and Maska reads it at once. Phone numbers, ID and bank card numbers, email and
street addresses, license plates, verification codes, faces and QR codes are masked automatically.
Order numbers, IP addresses and links are outlined, so you can confirm them with a tap.

## Features

- Tap a line of text to redact it, or hold it to pick single words. The same text elsewhere in the
  image is redacted too.
- Draw your own masks with Rectangle, Brush or Lasso. Masks follow slanted text and tilted faces.
- Pixelate, Blur, or Solid in any color.
- Review & Find lists everything Maska found, and finds any text to redact everywhere.
- Always Redact your own words, such as your name, or regular expressions.
- A screenshot you just took opens straight in the editor.
- "Redact with Maska" in the share sheet of Photos and other apps, and actions for Shortcuts.
- Saves a redacted copy without location, camera or capture time, and leaves the original as it is.

Maska is available in English, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.
